Pelham Youth Rugby Club announced the tournaments that the elementary flag rugby team will participate in at Chelsea Waterside Park. All second through fifth graders enrolled in the program are eligible for these.

Game: Eastchester vs. Pelham
Score: Eastchester Won 6-5
Highlights: Anne Crowley pitched eight innings and stuck out seven in the win for the Eagles. Crowley along with Danielle Cacciola and Francesca Chiodi each had three hits in the win. Caitlin Hearle was 1-3 for Pelham with a home run.
Sport: Girls Lacrosse
Game: Pelham vs. Mamaroneck
Score: Mamaroneck Won 16-6
Highlights: Mamaroneck’s 13 first half goals doomed the Pelicans from the beginning. Abby Baigelman led the Tigers with six goals and two assist as Jessica Gardiner and Jessica Corbin each scored three in the win. Isabel Laterzo scored three goals and assisted on another in the loss.
Sport: Baseball
Game: Pelham vs. Lincoln
Score: Lincoln Won 2-0
Highlights: Lincoln’s Abel Nunez was 1-3 on the day with two RBI, his first inning two run inside the park homerun accounted for the games scoring.

In boys lacrosse, Pelham will host Bronxville at 4:30 p.m.
In boys tennis, Pelham will host Ardsley at 4:15 p.m.

NYSSWA Announces Girls All-State Team:
The NYSSWA announced the All-State Teams for girls basketball earlier in the week. Each class has several teams, a Player of the Year and a Coach of the Year.
Class AA’s Player of the Year Breanna Steweart of Cicero-North Syracuse narrowly beat out Ossining’s junior Saniya Chong for the top award.
Pearl River’s took home the Player of the Year award in Class A and Irvington’s Lexi Martins was named the top player in Class B. Irvington Head Coach Gina Maher was also named the Coach of the Year.
Class C’s Player of the Year went to Greenwich’s Dani DeGregory and McKenzie Bezon of Elba won the award in Class D.
