Pelham Police Blotter: Parking Lot Robbery and Cyberbullying

Aggravated Harassment, June 27
Police responded to a report from parents who said their 15-year-old daughter was being harassed by a classmate.
The parents said their daughter was harassed physically and through unwanted communication in the past and the the suspect had posted a rap video about their daughter on Facebook.
The lyrics of the rap song, which contained verses alluding to acts of physical violence being committed to the victim, were written down and submitted to police. The parents said they are concerned about the video because of past incidents involving the classmate.
The case remains under investigation.
Armed Robbery, June 25
A Pelham man was robbed and injured at the parking lot of DeCicco’s Family Market at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, June 25.
The man told police he was returning after parking his car when two black males approached him from behind, near the northwest exit of the parking lot.
The men demanded money from the man. When the man said he didn’t have his wallet, one of the men pulled out a knife. One of the suspects then yelled ‘you’re from Pelham, you got money.’
The suspects fought with the victim, before fleeing west on Second Street.
The victim made his way home and contacted police. Police said he had abrasion to his right eye and cut to his abdomen. The Pelham Fire Department also arrived to provide medical assistance.
The victim was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Police canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
