WARTBURG DONATES CHAIRS AND LARGE SCREEN TV TO MT. VERNON ARMORY

Mount Vernon, NY, February 26, 2014 – Wartburg has donated over thirty chairs and one large screen projection TV to the Mount Vernon Armory, which currently provides shelter and programming to many of Mount Vernon’s elders.

David Gentner, Wartburg’s CEO and Geri Christiana the Director of the Office for the Aging in Mount Vernon came together on Friday February 21st to celebrate the exchange.  The chairs were once used in the old orphan auditorium on the Wartburg campus, where Wartburg’s  Adult Day Service program resided for 14 years.

Ms. Christiana expressed gratitude for the sturdier chairs, which will replace the folding chairs the seniors had been using.  She stated: “We so appreciate the generosity of the Wartburg and how they always think of us when there are these types of donations.”
