There’s a slew of celebrating going on today in Pelham. Over at the high school at 9:15 a.m., the band, chorus and orchestra put on a show in the gym. The Siwanoy kids hit the dance floor for their Spring Fling at 5:30 p.m. (unless it rains, then it’ll be moved to June 6). At 6 p.m., the eighth graders get their chance to party when they kick off their Dinner Dance in the gym.

Revel in the Sun and the Rain

If you find yourself longingly gazing out the window today, we won’t blame you. The skies are slated to be sunny, with a high hitting 76, according to the National Weather Service. Though Summerfest will go on rain or shine on Saturday, it looks like shine will win out. Expect to see sunny skies with a high near 78 degrees, but we may deal with some showers later in the evening. However, Sunday may not be as festive of a day. There will be a slight chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. and a high near 76. The chance for showers and thunderstorms looms before 8 p.m.

Rock Climb for Free

Feeling the urge to climb a wall? Us too. However, we’re thinking about taking the free route. Just leave a comment on The Rock Club’s Facebook fan page and you get to climb for free after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
