Get Out Weekend Planner: Toys for Tots, Crafts and Music
The upcoming weekend is full of art and holiday music and you can brighten a needy child's holidays with a toy.
1. Jim Maisano's Toys for Tots
Where/When: , 2 Pelham Rd., New Rochelle, Saturday, Dec. 10, noon-3 p.m.
Why Go: Bring unwrapped toys for kids of all ages, especially gifts for teenagers. Gift cards and donations are appreciated. Toys will be given to children in the Westchester area. Refreshments will be served, and there will be Karaoke Holiday Songs, too. Legislator Jim Maisano, R-New Rochelle, is the organizer, working with the Westchester Marine Corps League.

Where/When: Pelham Art Center, 155 Fifth Ave., Pelham, Saturday, Dec. 10, noon-4 p.m.
Why Go: Everyone can come and buy the ceramics, artwork, jewelry, gloss and furniture crafts that are on display at Craft-Tastic. There will be a 15 percent discount on all gallery purchases from now until Dec. 10.

Why Go: Painter, Nicolletta Barolini, displays a series entitled Flat Lands at the Esther Raushenbush Library Gallery. The paintings are inspired by the role of employment and work structures in our society.

Why Go: The 17th Annual Concert for Peace will include the Songcatchers Concert Choir and Ensemble. The holiday concert will feature songs of peace and hope, which should help you ring in the season.
