Grab & Go Kids Planner: College Prep, Brain Bee and Summer Camp

Here's a handful of events mostly suited for teens:

College Funding for High School Seniors and Parents, Wednesday, February 27, 7 p.m. Greenburgh Library Multipurpose Room, 300 E. Coffee and Camp Chat, Thursday, February 28, 9:15 a.m. JCC of Mid-Westchester, 999 Wilmot Rd. Scarsdale, NY. Come meet Caryn Symons, Director of Camp Gadol, Camp Xtreme and the CIT/LIT Experience and learn about the JCC’s warm, nurturing experiences for children 2-15 years.  A light breakfast will be served. Brain Bee Championship, Thursday, February 28, 4:30 p.m. Burke Rehabilitation Center, 785 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY. Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is hosting the 2nd annual local Brain Bee Championship of the International Brain Bee on Feb. 28. Open to high school students from 9th through 12th grade, the competition tests the students' knowledge of the brain and nervous system. Along with prizes and scholarships, the winners of all Local Brain Bees will be invited to compete at the National Brain Bee in Washington DC, and the winner of which will go on to compete in the International Brain Bee Championship. What To Do When You Are Stopped by the Police, Friday, March 1, 7p.m. Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, 116 Guion Pl., New Rochelle, NY. New Rochelle NAACP, Xenia Lodge #50, F.& A.M. (Prince Hall Masons), and Remington Boys and Girls Club present a 2nd forum. Parents, students, concerned citizens; Come out and learn how to respond to police in a way to de-escalate the situation and preserve your rights and safety.
