My advice for this weekend: pick one of these entertaining and warm indoor activities and pretend it's not really snowing in April.  And I hope you're not out on a soccer or lacrosse field in the snow-that would just not be right. Oh spring, where art thou?


Where/When: Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lakeshore Learning Store.
Why Go: Children can do crafts, listen to music and stories, and play games.
Pricing: Free!


Where/When: Saturday, April 2 or Sunday, April 3 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at The Westchester.
Why Go: Kids can get a taste of Disney Jr.'s upcoming new show with live entertainment, crafts, and games.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Sunday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westchester County Center.
Why Go: Connect with other parents and professionals, learn about interventions, approaches and unique products, and let your kids HAVE FUN in the kids room with on-site child-care, bounce house, carousel and more.
Pricing: Free. Note:  The open forum on autism safety is free, but reservations are necessary at events@navigatingthespectrum.org.


Where/When: Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at
Why Go: Older kids can make their own soy candle to take home.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at the Greenburgh Nature Center.
Why Go: Meet live eels and learn about the work the museum is doing on the Saw Mill River with American Eels.
Pricing: Museum admission: $7 adults, $6 seniors/students, $5 children 2-12. Free for museum members.
