Grab & Go Kids Planner: Pirate School, Festivals and Fairs

The weekend's almost here and so is your Patch-approved guide.

With school beginning to wind down, summer fun activities are getting into gear.  It’s carnival/festival season, and we have lots to offer this weekend! One new tidbit I personally learned last weekend: at town fairs and carnivals, when the wee ones get tired, and the sun goes down, the tween/teen scene begins to sizzle.  I was banished to hovering on the outskirts of the park with the dog as my 13 year-old and apparently every other teen in town scoured the grounds for friends and shenanigans (hopefully nothing too shenanigan-y!).  Ok, I know I sound super old - kids no longer say “friend” or “shenanigans,” but I won’t embarrass myself or my tweens by trying to act hip (yes, I know, another term that dates me).
