Grab & Go Kids Planner: 'The Black Stallion,' Tree Hugging and 'Feed Me, Seymour!'

Events and activities to keep your little ones amused over the upcoming weekend.

Why Go:
The Pelham Picture House will show the much loved classic The Black Stallion as part of the Family Flicks series.
Pricing: Members, $5; General Admission, $8. Family level members and above can use their vouchers for free admission.

, 931c E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, Saturday, July 9, 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 10, 3 p.m.
Why Go: This doo-wop musical features comedy, romance and a really outrageous plant. It's entertainment the whole family can enjoy. "Feed me, Seymour!"
Pricing: General Admission, $24; Seniors/Students, $20.

Why Go: Puppeteer Jill Liflander, a.k.a. "Jilly Puppets" will entertain kids with her imaginative puppet show about appreciating trees.
Pricing: Members, $3; Non-members, $8.

New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 1:30-5:30 p.m. (on both days).
Why Go: A family gardening and cooking event at New York Botanical Garden's Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden, where participants will get the chance to "discover the sweet and stinky smells of the aromatic alliums such as onions and garlic and the smell of herbs such as basil and oregano, take a taste at cooking demonstrations and pot up an herb to take home."
Pricing: All-Garden Pass: $20 adults, $8 children ages 2-12; Free for children under 2.

, 613 Riversville Rd., Greenwich, CT, Saturday, July 9; Sunday, July 10, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. (on both days).
Why Go: Audubon Nature Center of Greenwich is holding its Annual Honey Harvest. Participants can learn all about how honey is taken out of the hive for harvest. Honey will be available for purchase while supplies last.
