Happy MLK Day, Sign up for Mud Week and Prepare for Snow

Monday, this holiday looks good on you.

Whether or not you’re working today, there are plenty of ways for you to revel in this holiday.

MLK’s real DOB

Martin Luther King, Jr. was actually born on Jan. 15, 1964, but we celebrate the life and accomplishments of this revolutionary activist on January’s third Monday.

Sign up for Mud Week clinic

Your kids don’t have to wait for summer to get into day camp mode. When school lets out in February, make sure your little athletes (those in grades 3 through 10) are registered for the Mud Week basketball clinic. Participants hit the courts at PMHS from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., get t-shirts and the chance to win medals to rock when they get back to school.

Dates: Feb. 22-25

Cost: $220 week/$55 per day

Snow may be on its way

The third storm may have been a charm, but we’re still not sure what to make of this season’s fourth impending strike of flurries. According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80 percent chance of snow that’s slated to begin at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

One church, two ordained leaders

The ordained its second leader, Jacob Bolton, who will be spearheading the educational programs. Check back later for our video of Sunday's event.

Monday night basketball

The boys varsity basketball team goes at it again tonight when they take on Tuckahoe High School at 4:30 p.m.

[Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story had the incorrect weekly amount for the basketball clinic. We regret the error.]
