Although, Irene did some damage to the town of Pelham Manor, everyone is grateful that the directed strength of the huricane did not cause the damage that was predicted.
Some neighboorhoods lost power and suffered destruction to their yard. But, all in all, Pelham residents were taking it in stride leaving their homes and starting the clean up, going out for a bike ride or going out for a run.
Today is a new day. The water will recede and the sun will shine.
