Last Chance: Board of Ed workshop, Wine Tastings and Carol Channing

The Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association is sponsoring its annual Prospective School Board Member Workshop this Thursday, March 29 from 5:45 p.m. to 9:30 pm at the Education House, 5 Homeside Ln. in White Plains. Anyone interested in running for their local school boards now or in the future is encouraged and invited to attend.

The session is free for prospective board of education members from member school districts. Others are welcome for a $10 fee. The deadline to register for the workshop is Wednesday. On a completely different angle, The Pelham Picture House is screening a documentary called Carol Channing: Larger Than Life, about the Broadway and entertainment legend. The next showings are Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, click here.

If you're looking to have a good time and support a good cause, then you can try at , located at 179 North Main Street in Port Chester, NY. Proceeds from the event will be used by the Junior Board of Family Services of Westchester to fund various youth enrichment programs. The events is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and costs $35 to attend.
