Last Chance: Pelham Middle School Site-Based Candidates Application

Here's a heads up on something you wil not want to miss.

 

The deadline for parent candidates to apply for the Pelham Middle School site-based coucil is Wednesday, May 23.

Seats on the site-based council which consists, five school administration and faculty members and three parent representatives, have two-year terms. This year, two parent positions are open.

Some of the duties of the site-based council incude screening candidates for faculty positions and attending monthly meetings of the district's PTA Council.

 Members will be elected by middle school parents and the election will be conducted by the middle school PTA. Anyone  interested in serving on the committee must submit a statement of interest by noon on Wednesday, to Joan Brisson at joanbrisson@aol.com and Brian MacColl at bmaccoll@msn.com.

The statment should include the candidate's name, the grades their children are enrolled in and the strengths they would bring to the council. Statements should also include any relevant experience candidates have serving on similar organizations and a brief description of one or two issues they think are important for the council to examine during the next two years.

Statement can be submitted by e-mail or by hard-copy in the PTA mailbox in the main office.
