Meet Derek Jeter, Sing Karaoke and Get out of School Early

The weekends here and it's bringing five things that make us TGIF.

Youth 2 Youth Takes on Karaoke

Pelham’s high schoolers are headed to Spring Asian on Saturday night at 7 p.m. to get their karaoke on. Want to show off your best Bieber? Just RSVP to Rosie Martinez (rosiepgc@optonline.com or 914.738.5653) today. Patch will be there, taping, getting the story and maybe (just maybe) getting on stage.

545 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon, $18 includes soup, entrée, dessert and soft drinks

The School Budget is on its way

The community has been forewarned: cuts will be made across the board at Pelham Schools. But you still have a chance to make your voice—and concerns—heard if you attend the budget workshop on Saturday. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and you can attend the sessions that interest you.

9 a.m – 11:30 a.m. General Support Categories and Transfer to Capital Fund

11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Interscholastic Athletics

1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Instruction-Administration and Improvement (Curriculum Development and Supervision, Research, Planning and Evaluation, In-Service Training/Instruction, Teaching-Regular School Instruction, Special Education, Instructional Media, Guidance and Health, Psychology)

Meet Derek Jeter

The Junior League of Pelham’s March 12 70th Anniversary Gala just added a pretty cool auction item to the event—the chance to meet and get a training session with Derek Jeter. Interested in attending? Contact Darleen Sobolak 917-459-9710 or Sandra Ritossa 347-451-7808
