Meet the Candidates for Assistant Superintendent

One hundred and twenty eight people applied, and the position for assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and personnel has been narrowed down to two candidates. Meet both Matthew T. Evans and Peter Giarrizzo—who are vying for the position—at 7 p.m. in Cafeteria C. They’ll be answering questions posed by PTA Council members.

If downward dog and child’s pose kind of ring a bell, but you’re not quite sure how to assume the positions, consider taking the newest beginner four-week basic course. Every Saturday, from April 30 – May 21, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. you’ll learn the moves you need to know so that you can join any open class. This month-long session costs $80.

Watch Out for Floods

The National Weather Service has instituted a flash flood watch from Thursday afternoon into the evening. Expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 9am and a high near 69 degrees. Showers return at night mainly before 9 p.m.
