Pelham Jewish Center Open House this Weekend

Residents can learn more about the congregation at the Pelham Jewish Center this weekend.



The Pelham Jewish Community Center is having an open house this weekend.

Things begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday with community services and a Shabbat dinner. People can RSVP by calling (914) 738-6008, but walk ins are also welcome.

On Saturday, there will be Shabbat services at 9 :30 a.m. Later, at 8:30 p.m., the congregation will celebrate Selichot with a viewing and discussion of the film “Get Low.”


On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a meet and greet brunch. At the brunch, people will have an opportunity to meet Rabbi David Schuck; Ana Turkienicz, the education director; and the rest of the congregation. There will also be music, arts and crafts for  kids.

The Pelham Jewish Center is located at 451 Esplanade in Pelham. Anyone with questions about membership can call Maria Abeshouse at 914-738-8751.
