TV Network Seeks Fixer-Upper Westchester Homes for Reality Show

The Home Television Network has commissioned Pelham broker Rosalie Kravitz to find homes that need renovating before they can go on sale.

A Home Television Network realty show is looking for run-down, eccentrically decorated Westchester homes to fix up, so that agents will have a chance at selling them.

The production company, which is keeping its identity under wraps until its spring launch, commissioned Rosalie Kravitz of to work as the program’s  “agent.” Kravitz is now on the hunt for homes in Westchester that need some serious work—from landscaping to painting over retro orange walls—before a potential buyer would consider it. A team of interior design experts will renovate from roof to basement, a la Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (just without the bulldozers).

“We are looking for houses that really need their help. The houses that an agent is having a hard time selling,” Kravitz said. “[The renovating] maximizes the value of the house.”

Kravitz mentioned that one house she’s submitted was just too cluttered and the colors were too personalized, drawbacks that the show's experts aim to eliminate.
