Tea for Mom, Balloons for the Pelham Education Foundation and Sunny Skies for Everyone

Thank the Pelham Education Foundation

Thanks to the Pelham Education Foundation, the district has received more than $1.2 million in grants, which helped fund such things as two foreign language labs; a high school fitness center; a science research lab; 21st century classroom tools like SMARTBoards and document cameras; and a broadcast news studio. To show its gratitude, the foundation will be flying balloons at the homes of the generous donors on Saturday. Want to contribute? Go here for details. 

Get out This Weekend

It looks like the weather is going to do a decent job of cooperating this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, there’s a slight chance of showers, mainly after 10 p.m. Saturday’s chances are pretty much the same between 9am and noon, but the skies should be partly sunny, with a high near 71 degrees. Sunday is the day to play while you celebrate with mom. Expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 72 degrees.

Celebrate the Girl Scouts

Girl Scout Spirit Day is almost here. Troops of all levels partake in Girl Scout games, face painting and free lemonade at the Richard J. Daronco House on Saturday from  2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Treat Mom to Tea and other Goodies on Mother’s Day
