Zoning issues
Village of Pelham Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Village Hall, 195 Sparks Ave. The Village of Pelham Manor Zoning Board of Appeals meeting starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday, and it's at Village Hall, 4 Penfield Place.

Family Film Frenzy: Finding Nemo Pool Party 
This after-hours event is sponsored by Westchester County and takes place at Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle from 7-10 p.m. Thursday. Take a blanket...take a picnic! $5 for ages 5 and up.

Friday's Summer Movie Screening at the Pelham Library is Antz. 1 p.m. 

The Jill Gioia Band live
The summer is a great time to hear live music—and the Cross County Mall's SummerFest Concert series continues at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Bring beach blankets and chairs to The Green. Just input 8000 Mall Walk into your GPS.

Commuting by train into the city this week? 
If you're along the Long Island Sound shoreline, you know the difference between the old rail cars and the new M-8's. According to the Connecticut DOT's latest update, 216 of those M-8 cars have been delivered to the New Haven rail yard, and 196 are in operation.
