ViewFinder: Julianne's Playground

Children having fun at a playground in Pelham.

Families and their children were out swinging and climbing at Julianne's Playground this past Saturday.  A very conscientious little girl picked up a small paper wrapper and threw it away in the garbage, then went back to play with her little brother. Another enthusiastic young lady made use of the whole playground and made sure to smile for the camera.  At the yellow brick road maze, a young girl showed us how she gets to the center of Oz.

Julianne's playground was dedicated to Julianne Borsella who lost her battle with cancer when she was 8 years old.  A plaque and statue lies in the center of the playground as a reminder to play, laugh and remember the courage and spirit of a girl who brought out the best in all of us.
