The Pelham Guidance Council and the Junior League of Pelham Presents “Talk & Text Family Night”

The Pelham Guidance Council, which provides youth counseling and prevention programs for drug and alcohol abuse as well as other youth issues, and the Junior League of Pelham are teaming up to host the “Talk & Text Family Night,” an interactive movie night for teens and their families.

The program includes a reality-style documentary, “American Teen”, which examines high school students’ lives and the issues they face.  The event will also include an interactive discussion with Cheryl Bobe, the Director of The Pelham Guidance Council. Moviegoers will be encouraged to text in comments throughout the film, which will be discussed in the Q&A session with Ms. Bobe.   Also featured is a sneak preview of the upcoming Kids Helping Kids production.

This exciting program takes place Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the Pelham Picture House. Admission is free, but seating is limited so people are encouraged to arrive early.  The film is rated PG-13, so it may not be appropriate for children under 13.  For more information, visit the Junior League of Pelham website at http://www.jlpelham.org.
