1) An Evening with Andrew Valentine. Thursday, November 15, 7:30 p.m. The Manor Club, 1023 Esplanade, Pelham, NY. Tickets: $10. The Manor Club hosts vampire author Andrew Valentine for a night of vampiric revelry, including giveaways, trivia games and vampire-inspired cocktails. Andrew will reveal the secret history of the undead, read from Bitter Things and Bitter Consequence, and will sign copies of his books. 2) 49th Annual Valenti Thanksgiving Parade, Saturday, November 17, 10 a.m. Starts at New Rochelle High School, Eastchester Rd and North Ave, New Rochelle, NY. The Chamber of Commerce and the City of New Rochelle is happy to present the 49th Annual Valenti Thanksgiving Parade. This year's Grand Marshal is County Executive, Rob Astorino. Join us to enjoy a myriad of entertain for kids of all ages. Classic cars and fire trucks, roller derby, clowns and floats galore! With a special appearance from Ol' Saint Nick!

Route: Starts at Eastchester Road and North Ave. (New Rochelle High School), going South on North AVe. to Main St., Then right on Main St., to Maple Ave. 

3) Westchester Cat Show, Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18, 10 a.m. Westchester County Center, 198 Central Ave., White Plains, NY. Cost: $14. The Westchester Feline Club will be hosting the 37th annual Westchester Cat Show at the Westchester County Center featuring over 200 spectacular felines, representing many of the 55 recognized T.I.C.A. breeds.  There will be cats in championship competitions, in household pet competitions, in Meow Wear Custom Fashions (fashion shows on Sat & Sun at 2 p.m.). And of course, cats and kittens for adoption.  You can holiday shop for everything you want for your cats and cat loving friends.  Cat of the Year ceremony honors “Nina” who brings calm to her family members with Autism related challenges.  Attend TTouch and Reiki for Cats Demonstrations. MEET “Finnegas the 2012 Best International Samoli” and “Lightning the first Savannah to become a Supreme Grand Champion.” Tickets sold at the door: Adults $14, Seniors (65+), $12, Children (5-12) $6, 4 and under free.

4) Owl Prowl, Saturday, November 16, 2:30 to 4 p.m. Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, 875 Shore Road, Bronx, NY. . Join naturalist, photographer, and writer Deborah Allen on an owl prowl around the mansion. We'll start off with a 1/2 hour talk and presentation and then head outside to look for long-eared and saw-whet Owls. Registration requested. Cost is $10 adults, $7 seniors and students; members $7 adults, $5 seniors and students. Attendees are asked to register by calling Bartow Pell Mansion at 718-885-1461 or emailing info@bpmm.org
