"Light Matter" Reception Draws More Than 100 to Pelham Art Center

"Light Matter" exhibit will stay open at the Pelham Art Center through June 30.

A crowd of more than 100 people attended the opening reception for "Light Matter" at the on May 4.

Pelham Art Center was aglow Friday night for the opening of its exhibition, which runs through June 30. The show featured the work artists Bryan Graf, Jeph Gurecka, Sharon Louden, Beatrice Pediconi, Chris Smith, and Joe Winter.

All of the installation pieces that are being shown make use of different aspects of the interaction of light with matter, whether through bubbles and transient reflections on water; energy emitted by light’s electric and wild activity; or light’s steady capacity to alter color.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Go here for more information.
