Pelham Picture House Awarding Rossellini

The Picture House's Big Night Spring Gala helps raises funds so the Picture House can continue its mission to present quality films and host educational programs.

Pelham Picture House's Big Night Spring Gala will happen on Saturday. One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the Picture House's Harold Lloyd Industry Distinction Award to Isabella Rosselini. Rosselini stared in groundbreaking films such as "White Nights," "Blue Velvet" and "Big Night." Rosselini, who is Ingrid Bergman's daughter, is also a producer, author and filmmaker.

“We’ve gathered an impressive and accomplished group of honorees for our Big Night Gala,” says Ann Sorice, the gala chair. “Like The Picture House, they are visionary leaders in the film world, both in terms of their creative accomplishments and their support for independent films.”

“The Gala is an opportunity for us to thank the region for rallying in support of an iconic film house that is a treasured resource for all of southern Westchester County,” says John Calvelli, chair of the board of directors for the Picture House. ”Now it’s time to take it to the next stage, so we can continue to offer innovative films and educational programming and present the best movies in the industry using the latest technology.”

The Harold Lloyd Awards, which will be presented on Saturday, are named after silent, comedic film star Harold Lloyd. Lloyd hanging from the hands of a clock high above the street in the film "Safety Last!" is a quintessential film moment.

The Picture House's Big Night will be held at the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information you can click here.
