Kate Canaty Creche Collection, Monday, Dec. 3. The College of New Rochelle, 29 Castle Pl. The College of New Rochelle’s Kate Canty Crèche Collection will be on display at the Castle Gallery from December 2, 2012, for Free Arts Day, a collaboration with ArtsWestchester, through January 6, 2013, featuring unique nativity scenes. The Castle Gallery is open Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends. Closed Mondays and holidays. The gallery can also be visited by appointment. Craft-Tastic, Tuesday, Dec. 4, All Day. Pelham Art Center, 155 Fifth Ave, Pelham, NY. A lush variety of unique and affordable artisan crafts will be on display and for sale at Pelham Art Center’s annual artisan exhibition, Craft-Tastic.This year’s exhibition will feature a variety of crafts, large and small, including jewelry, leather goods, ceramics, letterpress, ornaments, furniture, sculpture, and visual arts. Burke Food and Coat Drive, Daily, Burke Rehabilitation Center- Wood Pavillion, 785 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY Burke Rehabilitation Center has partnered with the Food Bank for Westchester and NY Cares to run a food and coat drive. Burke will be collecting non-perishable foods and coats until the end of the year for these two organizations that have the network to get the donations to those who need it most.

The Food Bank is in need of the following items:

  • Cans of tuna
  • Granola bars
  • Peanut butter in plastic containers
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Cereal
  • Cheese and/or peanut butter sandwich crackers
  • Juice boxes
  • Crackers
  • Applesauce in plastic cups
  • Canned or dried fruit
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand sanitizer wipes
  • Tissues

Coffee & Coloring/ Story Time at the Manor Club, Friday, Dec. 7, 9:15 a.m. The Manor Club, 1023 Esplanade, Pelham Manor, NY. Come join us at the Manor Club with your Pre-school child or any child not yet in school. Have a story read to them or they can color or play while Moms enjoy some coffe and food. Great way to meet new moms and let your child socialize. Open to members and non-members. Non-members $7.00

Holiday First Friday at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum. Friday, Dec. 7, 5:30 p.m. Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, 895 Shore Rd., Bronx, NY. Experience the magic of the mansion decked out for the holidays and delight in the festive, fun sound of the a cappella Metropolitones. Do a little holiday shopping and enjoy refreshments. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley makes a continuous loop from the #6 Pelham Bay Park subway station to BPMM to City Island. Ruby Rose Fashion Show, Sunday, Dec. 9, 2 p.m. Bistro Rollin, 142 Fifth Ave. Pelham, NY. Tickets, $50. RubyRose Fashion Show will benefit the Pelham Art Center. Guests will be treated to tea, wine or sherry, tea sandwiches, tea sweets, etc. Vintage, Modern, and Designer fashions will be modeled by local Pelham women from 18-80! Seating is limited at $50 to benefit the Pelham Arts Center.
