It's Thankgiving! Here are 5 Things for Thanksgiving to help you share, prepare and repair:

Thanksgiving Dishes Needed for Sandy Relief, Thursday, November 22, 8:30-9 a.m. Huguenot Memorial Church, 901 Pelhamdale Ave, Pelham Manor, NY. Pelham Community Relief Team is bringing cooked meals to Hurricane Sandy victims in Howard Beach. Drop off cooked entrees for 12 people, packaged for travel: hot and in tightly covered aluminum foil containers. Please contact Sona Davidian (McClellan Realty) or Lisa Kiernan with the food items you plan to donate AND the number of servings.  You can reach Sona via e-mail atsona.davidian@gmail.com or via phone to the agency at (914) 738-5150.  You can reach Lisa via phone at (914) 738-2328. Some of you have asked whether we are accepting cash donations for this relief effort.  We are, and checks should be made payable to Huguenot Church, with a notation that it is for the Pelham Community Relief Effort.  Financial contributions will cover costs for food, supplies and other items needed by storm victims.

Fresh Local Produce at White Plains Farmers’ Market, Wednesday, November 21, 8 a.m.- 4p.m. Court St and Martine Ave, White Plains, NY. This is the last day of the season for White Plains’ outdoor Farmers’ Market. Stop by and pick up fresh produce and artisanal foods for your Thanksgiving feast. In keeping with the tradition of open-air markets in Europe, patrons of the White Plains Farmers Market can expect to find everything from meats, to produce, artisan cheeses and olive oil. Vendors include: Arch River Farms, Rolling Hills Farms, Westchester Greenhouse, S&SO Produce, Iron Tomato and Meredith Bread to name just a few.

 November 19-20 and 26, 2012, Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St., Tarrytown, NY.  Tickets: $8. The Random Farms Kids' Theater in Elmsford, N.Y. will be performing their upcoming Workshop production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Tarrytown Musical Hall Nov. 18-20 and 26. The show features over 150 local children. The production is the culmination of a 10-week musical theater training program for third through eighth-graders who are divided into seven casts. This musical brings to life the parable of Joseph and his coat of many colors from the Bible’s book of Genesis. The show follows Joseph’s fall from his status as his father’s favorite son, his betrayal at the hands of his eleven brothers, and his eventual rise to greatness as an advisor to the Egyptian Pharaoh.

Fifty Shades of Color, November 19-24, 2012, Beth-El Synagogue Center, 1324 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY. "FIFTY SHADES OF COLOR" features 38 vibrant and colorful oil paintings by New Rochelle artist Ruth Epstein in the Kanner-Kurzon Museum at Beth El Synagogue Center, 1324 North Avenue, New Rochelle.  The event is free and open to the public.  The synagogue is open daily.  For additional information, please call the synagogue at (914) 235-2700. 

Groove's 4th Annual Pajama Drive, Groove Performing Arts, 108 Chatsworth Ave. Larchmont, NY. From now to Christmas Day, GROOVE is collecting new pajamas for kids in need. We gratefully accept all sizes from newborn-teen. Pajama Program will deliver these new pajamas and new books to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story.  Please donate early and generously.
