Burger Bar Ribbon Cutting Set for Friday

Bar revamps look with American grill menu.

A ribbon cutting for the establishment, formerly known as Johnny’s of Fifth, is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.

Although the building and the owner, John Lulgjuraj, remain the same, the menu has been revamped and the interior has undergone some changes. The new bar has been up and running for about week.


“It’s a huge difference,” said Sherri Gallina, the bars marketing director. “It’s an American grill. Before, it was more of an Italian restaurant. We have appetizers, soups, salads, but mainly we’re focusing on the burgers.”

Gallina said the burgers are made from 100 percent angus beef. Additionally, there are sandwich choices ranging from a classic reubens to pulled pork in barbecue sauce and chicken gyros. Entree choices includes like steaks, pork chops, chicken and salmon.

A kids menu and milkshakes are also available. A PDF of the menu is available to the right of this story.

The bar will continue its tradition of live band and DJs in the evening. Gallina said the bar is trying to maintain rotating schedule of live entertainment every weekend.

Right now the bar is holding auditions for its , which invites singers to compete for a $1,000 prize.

The establishment is currently offering a special where patron get a free beer or soft drink with the purchase of any burger from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
