Little Girl Wins 'Best in Show' at Westchester Cat Show

A petite Devon Rex takes the blue ribbon at the Westchester Cat Show.

A bright-eyed, shorthair female Devon Rex cat managed to beat out larger, long-fur breeds for the "Best in Show" ribbon at the Westchester Cat Show yesterday.

Owner Wendy Garcia proudly showed off Collage, a 14 month old Devon Rex. Cats of the English breed have wavy short fur, large ears and playful personalities. They can even be trained to walk on leashes and perform tricks

This is the 37th year the Westchester Feline Club has sponsored the show, held at the County Center in White Plains. All proceeds of the show will be donated to local animal shelters.
