The Bakery Bustles with Activity

Four Corners in Pelham Manor Village is hopping with activity.

"They want everything" said Lisa Daley, owner of The Bakery at Four Corners on Boston Post Road. Ever since the weather died down, Daley said customers have been coming into the shop for food, coffee, even to power up their cellphones.

Just about every table was occupied with families, couples eating and talking. All taking a break from cleaning up branches and sitting in the dark. Just enjoying the free Wi-Fi and a croissant.

Daley said she never lost power, "We were very lucky." She is open and so are her neighbors: the Number One Chinese take-out and Four Corners pizza delivery on the same side of the street as well as CVS.

But on the opposite side of Boston Post Road, things are a little different. Power has been out since Monday. Dunkin Donuts hasn't opened, but Manor Card Shoppe is. The door is propped open, a fluorescent paper sign beckoning customers to enter despite the dark entryway.
