A Rockland Icon bids farewell... After over 50 years, Cleats 'n Sneaks of Nanuet is closing.

If you live in Rockland, you have most probably shopped in this store.

If you played any sports in school, on teams, jogged, ran, or exercised, then you were certainly their customer and probably have many fond memories of shopping there. Perhaps you went with your parents, then as a young adult and later with your own kids. They had the best brands and models of running shoes, when running was just getting started; and thousands of different models of footwear at the height. As baseball grew, they were the place with every price level of gloves, bats, and equipment from every major brand and supplied most of the County's (and outside) Little Leagues. When soccer became a mainstay for kids, they supplied the uniforms, cleats and balls. It was the premier Sporting Goods Store in Rockland, along with really knowledgeable and helpful sales people!!

This is their loss and your gain!!

They carry all the regular sporting goods items that the chain sports stores do, but they have always been known for all those different Sports things that you couldn't find anywhere else.

They are planning for a complete renovation and reopening in a smaller version sometime in the fall.

Stop by and conjure up some of your best memories and while you are there.........

Take advantage of the unbelievable bargains, as they sell everything off!

Cleats 'n Sneaks is open Mon - Sat: 10 - 7pm and Sun: 11 - 5pm.
