COLONIAL LIBRARY — Laurie Ulster, senior director of AETV.com and mother of Nathaniel Hetzer (3K), came to the library and talked with Colonial Times reporters and editors about her job.

“My favorite part about my job is when we think of a really cool idea for a game or a video and develop it,” said Ms Ulster. “I think I’m really lucky, and I have a very good job. I used to be a TV producer, and as soon as I saw the web, I was excited. People practically live on their computers.”

Ms Ulster said she has been working as senior director of AETV.com for three years. On the website, Storage Wars is the most popular section. More than two million people visit the website. Some games on the site she recommends are Critterize Yourself, Storage Wars and Missing in the Glades.

“Sometimes my work is hard and sometimes my work is easy,” she said. “We have three designers and two producers.”

Every time a show airs, the web team puts a video for every episode on the site. They also put a lot of interactive stuff on the site.
