Safety Patrol is a hit with fifth graders who patrol Colonial's halls
The program teaches students how to be safe in the hallways. It might help in other ways too.

COLONIAL HALLWAYS -- Most fifth graders really enjoy the Safety Patrol program.
Aidan Resnick (5v) said, "It's a great idea."

The program teaches students how to be safe in the hallways. It might help in other ways too. For example, a kid in Safety Patrol might ride only on the sidewalk instead of in the road.

Most kids think that if they stay off the road, they're safe. That's not all of it. You can be safe in many ways, not just by staying on the sidewalk.
If you really want to read something about safety, try the book Mick Harte was Here by Barbara Park. Safety is something kids don't think about enough. We can always learn more.
