COLONIAL LIBRARY — Luke, a high school student, showed the third grade a slide show about geography. He talked about the different geography in different places.

Luke said that he won a state geography bee when he was in sixth grade.

''I went to Washington, D.C., and stayed in a hotel and got a tour around Washington, D.C., and competed in the national geography bee and got $5,000,'' Luke said. ''I love that the more you start exploring other countries, you start appreciating history and culture and politics more."

Amelia Resnick (3L) said, ''No, I'm not going to do the geography bee because I'm not really into geography, and it doesn't interest me.''

Scarlett Bratone (3K) said, ''Yes, I am doing the geography bee because I think it is really interesting, and I like geography.''
