"Doo-Wop" Will Live Again at the Westchester Broadway Theatre on Monday, November 11

Courtesy of The Flamingos and led by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Terry Johnson, the sound of doo-wop will bring back memories of 1950 and early 1960 music at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford. As part of a Diamond Anniversary tour, The Flamingos will perform on Monday evening, November 11.

Harmonic renditions of once popular love songs by The Flamingos  (also known as the "Ambassadors of Romance") will include I Only Have Eyes for You, released in 1959. The Flamingos' recording of this song is still heard occasionally in soundtracks of rerun television programs and movies including the George Lucas classic film American Graffiti, brought to the big screen in 1973 but set in 1962.

Other hits for which this group is known for include Love Walked In, Time Was, Lovers Never Say Goodbye, and But Not For Me.

The Flamingos will expand their repertoire in this performance to include more recent American classics and a special surprise guest will also appear.

This is a one-night-only performance (Monday, November 11, 2013). Dinner service begins at 6:15 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. The ticket price, including dinner, is $80 per person plus tax. Alcoholic beverages and wine by the glass are available at additional cost. For reservations, call 914-592-2222.
