No More Classes

seniors may have reason to rejoice, as today is the last day of classes. While they’ll no longer have to worry about AP Art and Calculus, there are plenty of school events taking place that’ll help seniors enjoy the last day of their high school career. A chorus concert and spring concert are scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., respectively, while a teachers’ retirement party and PTA Appreciation Night are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

An Opportunity for Budding Artists

While you may not have works of art exhibited inside the , you may still have a chance to contribute to something that will be showcased outside the center for everyone to see. The art center is seeking proposals for a public sculpture in its courtyard. All suggestions are welcome.

A Centennial Celebration

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 100 years since the New Rochelle Humane Society began its mission to care for animals in need throughout the area. The Humane Society will celebrate its 100th anniversary today with an event at the Wkagyl Country Club at 6:30 p.m.

 

Movie Course at Pelham Picture House

If you think today’s Hollywood celebrities pale in comparison to Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart, then you might want to register for a six-week movie course at the Pelham Picture House. The course will explore 1940s classics. A six-class subscription costs $150, while individual classes are $30. Classes begin on June 15, so don’t forget to register online at www.thepicturehouse.org.
