In February 2000, Actual Innocence: When Justice Goes Wrong and How to Make It Right—written by Scheck with co-founder and co-director Peter Neufeld, and New York Times reporter Jim Dwyer—was published by Doubleday, having grown out of the cases and stories of the Innocence Project at the Benjamin N.
