5 Things for the Week Ahead: Hall Dedication, Student Art Exhibit, and Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

Activities for the upcoming week around the region.

Where/When: , 575 Colonial Ave, Pelham, Monday, April 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Why go: The Pelham Memorial High School is having a dedication of its Alumni Hall on Monday, April 16. The ceremony will take place from 6 p.m, to 7:30 p.m. on the high school's ground level, opposite the main gym.

2. Advanced Art Student Exhibition at the Pelham Art Center
Where/When: , 155 Fifth Ave, Pelham, Tuesday, April 17 starts at 6:30 p.m.
Why go: The exhibition will feature artwork by students in advanced art classes from four local high schools: Bronxville, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Pelham Memorial High School. Each student will submit a single work from his or her portfolio. Up to 60 works in a variety of media will be shown.

3.  Accents on Antiques Plans 17th Annual Anniversary
Where/When: , 125 Wolfs Ln, Pelham, Thursday, April 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Why go: The Pelham Chapter of the Friends of Sound Shore Medical Center invites the public to celebrate the 17th Anniversary of Accents on Antiques. In addition to a live auction and special dealer discounts, the event will feature a check presentation that represents proceeds from last year’s operation of Accents.  
Pricing: Free.

Why go: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hosting its Third Annual Black and White Ball.  It is one of the Foundation’s premier events. This year, the 2012 Breath of Life Award will be presented to Theresa and John McMahon and Dick Brennan, Fox 5 Reporter, for their extraordinary work, support, and fundraising efforts in the fight against cystic fibrosis.
