5 Things: Hudson River Advisory Lifted, Help the Fresh Air Fund

1. Hudson River Advisory Lifted

The Westchester County Health Department has lifted the ban on recreational activities in the Hudson River south of Hastings. The ban was put into place last week after untreated wastewater from a sewage plant in New York City discharged into the river.

2. Help the Fresh Air Fund

Remember when you were a kid and you'd spend the summer playing kickball and collecting fireflies in a mason jar? You can help a low-income New York City child enjoy the same simple summer pleasures through the Fresh Air fund, which is currently seeking more families to host children for a two-week period this summer. 3. Cinderella at the Emelin Theatre

Any little girl who has ever dreamed of being a princess should attend the Emelin's Missoula Children's Theatre two performances of Cinderella. The performances take place on Saturday, July 30. Check out our Grab & Go Kids Planner for more info.

 

4. Mah Jong Thursdays at Lola's Tea House

Gamers—and anyone with a competitive spirit for that matter—should head over to for an afternoon of Mah Jong, a table game traditionally played in Asia. Mah Jong Thursdays starts at 2 p.m. Check out our events calendar for more details.
