5 Things: Morning Prayer, Art Showcase, Possible Cutbacks at U.S. Post Office

Five things you need to know for July 26.

1. Prayer at 

The church will hold its regular morning prayer at the Bolton Altar at 10 a.m.

 

2. Summer Open Gym Nights for Teens

If your kids are looking for a fun way to spend Tuesday evening, tell them to head over to the County Center in White Plains for the county park department's summer open gym night. Kids can enjoy a variety of activities at the event, from playing cards and foosball to basketball and ping pong. The event will take place from 6-10 p.m.

 

3. Israeli Art Exhibit

The work of Israeli artists such as Shraga Weill, Mordechai Ardon, Yitzach Greenfield and Ruth Levin will be on exhibit and for sale at the Beth El Synagogue Center in New Rochelle. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the synagogue. 

 

4. Pelham Art Center's Faculty & Student Showcase

Until Aug. 13, the  will exhibit the work of its students and faculty in an annual show. 

 

5. Post Office May Close Thousands of Locations

No business is immune to the effects of the recession—the U.S. Postal Service included. The postal service, which lost $8 billion last year, could possibly close 3,600 locations. Officials are currently reviewing locations for possible closure.
