1. Pelham Summer Concert Series

If you're looking for something to do tonight, head over to Townhouse Park at 7:30 p.m. for Pelham's Summer Concert Series. The Bookends Band is scheduled to perform.

2. Free Yoga

The Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale will host a free yoga session on 255 Mamaroneck Road. The session begins at 9:45 a.m.

3. Firefighter Training

The Westchester County Department of Emergency Services is offering summer sessions for firefighter training to anyone interested in joining local volunteer fire departments. The training is tailored to students who are away at college in the spring and fall or people who have other obligations that make it difficult for them to train during that time of year. The summer session will condense the usual required 87 hours of training into three weeks. Anyone interested in the training should contact the department.

 

4. Former New York Governor Dies

Former New York governor Hugh Carey died Sunday at the age of 92. Carey, a seven-term Democratic congressman, served as governor for seven years before Mario Cuomo succeeded him.
