Pelham residents are hunkering down in preparation for an onslaught of snow overnight Friday. Throughout the day, weather conditions have included snow and rain. As evening approaches the rate of snowfall is expected to increase.
The National Weather Service says Pelham area residents can expect 3 to 7 inches of snow accumulation during the day Friday and as much as 6 to 10 inches more overnight.
Update, Friday, 9:23 p.m. MTA announces all Metro-North service will be suspended at 10 p.m. and will not resume until further notice. Grnad Central Terminal will close by midnight according to alerts issued via social media.

Cancellations, Postponements
Bartow-Pell Mansion will be closed Saturday, February 9. The Victorian Valentine workshop is postponed to Sunday, 1- 3 p.m.
Pelham Art Center will be closed on Saturday due to the inclement weather. The Chinese New Year program on Saturday, February 9 has been cancelled. Make-up classes will be scheduled by PAC staff.
Pelham Memorial High School has postponed its Friday Talent Show performances. Tickets already purchased can be used at the Sunday, 4 p.m. show. Tickets are still available for $20 up to 30 minutes before the show, at the door.
Pelham Memorial High School has cancelled Saturday's SAT program. The new date will be announced when scheduled.
