Get Out Weekend Planner: The Help, Farmers Market, 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' and Yiddish Theater

Here are a few of the area activities for the upcoming weekend.

1. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Beatles Tribute Concert
Where/When: , 85 Main St., Irvington, Friday, April 13 at 8 p.m.
Why go: Touring nationally, PreFab 4 plays songs determined by audience request, allowing the musicians to connect with their audiences. The band covers material from the entire Beatles catalog. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! offers theatergoers the unique chance to sing along with the songs they know by heart, as well as the thrill of discovering a new band.
Pricing: $25, general; $20, seniors and students.

2. Mamaroneck Indoor Farmers Market
Where/When: 
, 168 W. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go: The market's runs every Saturday from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. through May 19. It features some new vendors this year, including: American Pride Seafood, Stone and Thistle FarmFlour City PastaRaaka ChocolateAmazing Real Live Food Co. (probiotic dairy products), Maura & Nuccia (baked goods) and Stephan’s Pure Blends (family-recipe Polish pierogies). Where/When: 530 Colonial Ave, Pelham, Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m.
Why go: will be showing the movie The Help.  The film, which is based on the book of the same name, received  four Academy Awards nominations, including a win for Best Supporting Actress by Octavia Spencer.

4. Harriet Beecher Stowe's 'Uncle Tom's Cabin'
Where/When: St. Paul's Church, 897 S Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, Saturday, April 14, 2 p.m. 
Why go: Recognizing the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, acclaimed historian and author David S. Reynolds, a Distinguished Professor at the Graduate Center of The City University of New York, explores roles of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s landmark novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin and John Brown’s 1859 raid on Harper’s Ferry in the origins of the Civil War.

Where/When: , 255 Mamaroneck Rd., Scarsdale, Sunday, April 15 at 4 p.m.
Why go: The Westchester Reform Temple welcomes Zalmen Mlotek, artistic director of The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene for one performance only. Mlotek will swell the sanctuary with Yiddish song in concert with renowned performer Cantor Robert P. Abelson. This free, family friendly concert will be in Yiddish with English subtitles.
