Grab and Go Children's Planner

1) Pick-your-own apples every weekend through October 21, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  at the Orchards of Concklin, 2 S Mountain Rd, Pomona, NY The Concklins grow over 20 varieties of apples but will offer the following for picking while supplies last: Cortland, McIntosh, Red Delicious, Empires, Golden Delicious, Winesap, Rome Fuji and Macouns. (All apples are not available at all weekends). Apples are $18 a peck bag. Picking poles are available for rental $1 ($5 refundable deposit). Pumpkins will be available the weekends of October 13 and October 20.  

For additional fun for kids, every weekend from noon to 5 p.m., there are inflatable slides, bouncies, Jurassic Adventure and Kid's Haunted House each for a small fee ($.50 -$1.00) AND their 1/2 acre corn maze! Refreshments, such as The Orchard of Concklin’s apple cider and their award-winning apple cider doughnuts, are available in their farm store which is open daily from 8:00am-6:00pm seven days a week.

For information on apple picking birthday parties or school field trips call 845-354-0369 and call ahead, for weather permitting picking.  Sorry, pets, picnics and climbing in trees is not permitted. 

2) Pick Pumpkins at Muscoot Farm Sunday, October 7, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Our biggest event this year! Looking for the perfect pumpkin? Take a hayride to the pumpkin field, where you are sure to find just the right one, or step over to our garden where there are plenty to choose from. This is the only fund-raiser for the Friends of Muscoot, so join in the fun. Fee for hayride $2, pumpkin prices vary by size.

3) Storytime for Toddlers
Every Tuesday and Thursday, Fun Craft of Scarsdale - Fun Craft, 590 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale, NY -hosts toddler storytime from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Each storytime will include a craft session, healthy snack and dancing to music and colorful lights. Price: $12 per session.

4) Time for 2s and 3s
Songs, games, activities, and stories for 2 and 3 year olds with caregivers. Tickets are given out 30 minutes before program starts. Offered two times on Tuesdays: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Ave, White Plains, NY

5) Toddler Story Time at the The Voracious Reader
The Voracious Reader hosts Toddler Story Time on Mondays at 11 a.m. for ages 3 and under and 1 p.m. for infants to 10 months; Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children 3 and under and Wednesday at 2 p.m. for 3-5 year-olds.
