Colonial School Blood Drive, Friday, Dec 14, 3:15 p.m. Colonial Elementary School, 315 Highbrook Ave., Pelham NY. Hurricane Sandy interfered with blood drives around the region, which has led to an expected shortfall of 12,000 units over the next 30 days. A Christmas Carol Reading, Sunday, Dec. 16, 1 p.m. Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton Ave, Yonkers, NY Adults, $5, children and seniors, $3. Members of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival perform a four-actor interpretation of Charles Dickens’s beloved novella.  Watch as Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and the Ghost of Christmas Past come alive at the Museum. Eighty-five minute performance, no intermission. Songcatchers 18th Annual Concert for Peace, Sunday, Dec. 16, 4:30 p.m. College of New Rochelle Chapel, 29 Castle Pl., New Rochelle, NY. Celebrate the holidays with Songcatchers and come to the 18th annual holiday Concert for Peace. The inter-generational Songcatchers Concert Choir and Ensemble present carols, songs of peace, and songs of the interfaith holiday season. The Concert Choir is a 50-member vocal ensemble of children and adults from our After-School Music Program, Choir Camp, and friends of Songcatchers.
