Things to do with the younger set.

 

Family time is tops, but here are a few activities to go out and get the younger set involved:

, Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1 p.m. Hudson River Museum, 511 Warburton, Yonkers, NY. $5 Explore your the Lower Hudson Valley in the Hudson Riverama gallery. Discover how this area was formed, how it changes in winter, and how to protect it. December 26: Make a “glacier.” December 27: Make “ice” sculptures. December 28: Learn about pollution on the river. Make a “watershed.” FREE with Museum admission (adult $5, Youth 5-16/Seniors $3).

Family Holiday Program, Thursday, Dec. 27, 10 a.m. 897 S. Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, NY. Historic games, activities, music and demonstrations, designed for children on vacation from school, as well as parents, adults, and others. Call 914-667-4116.

Holiday Jeopardy, Thursday, Dec. 27, 4 p.m. White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Ave. White Plains, NY. Come join a team & play our "holiday" themed trivia game based on the popular TV show. Have fun & win prizes! Contestants should be aged 7+, but the whole family will enjoy being part of the Library audience.

School Break Workshops, Thursday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 28, Pelham Art Center, 155 Fifth Ave., Pelham, NY.
