National Circus Project at New Rochelle Arts Fest

Performers from the National Circus Project will entertain families as they walk along downtown streets visiting galleries, restaurants, and stores during the New Rochelle Arts Fest on Saturday,September 22, 12:30 to 5 p.m. Downtown visitors will witness dazzling acts, fire tricks and hysterical antics presented by the talented jugglers, clowns and magicians. The National Circus Project, a New York-based arts-in-education group

that teaches students about physical fitness and motor skills through juggling, acrobatics and clowning, has presented performances to rave reviews around the world.

Charles Dickens Bicentennial

Yonkers Library marks the bicentennial year of the birth of author Charles Dickens an exhibition of illustrations created for the author’s literary works by The Children’s Book Illustrator Group in the Art Gallery at the Yonkers Riverfront Library, August 25 - October 31, 2012. The exhibit features Dickens experts and CBIG artists and special events: picture book story time readings, comic book art workshops for teens, artist demos, discussion panel on Dickens, interviews, lectures, and performance readings by Friends of Dickens. Price: Free.

Storytime for Toddlers

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Fun Craft of Scarsdale - Fun Craft, 590 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale, NY -hosts toddler storytime from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Each storytime will include a craft session, healthy snack and dancing to music and colorful lights. Price: $12 per session.


Time for 2s and 3s

Songs, games, activities, and stories for 2 and 3 year olds with caregivers. Tickets are given out 30 minutes before program starts. Offered two times on Tuesdays: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at White Plains Public Library, 100 Martine Ave, White Plains, NY


Toddler Story Time at the The Voracious Reader

The Voracious Reader hosts Toddler Story Time on Mondays at 11 a.m. for ages 3 and under and 1 p.m. for infants to 10 months; Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children 3 and under and Wednesday at 2 p.m. for 3-5 year-olds.

Little Farmers at Muscoot Farm

Children ages 3 and 4 can have fun learning about the different residents at the farm through hands-on experience. A different animal will be featured each week. Bicycle Sundays

Go for a joyride on the Bronx River Parkway! Access to the parkway starts at the Westchester County Center, White Plains to Scarsdale Rd., Yonkers (13.1-mile round-trip)!
