Last Chance: Art Shows and Board Meetings

The Pelham school and village boards are meeting tonight.

The Pelham school board will meet inside Alumni Hall, located inside Pelham Memorial High School, for its annual organization meeting. The board will begin the meeting and executive session at 7:30 p.m., before starting the public session at 8 p.m.

Newly elected members Michael Recca and Madeline Smith will be administered their oaths of office and the board will appoint its new president. A PDF of the draft agenda is available to the right of this story.

The Pelham village board will also meet at 7:30 p.m. inside village hall. A PDF of the village board’s tentative agenda is also available to the right of this story.

Student Gallery Featured at the Pelham Art Center

The  will  present its "Faculty and Student Showcase," on Friday. The an annual exhibition will feature the selected artworks of the art center's teachers and students. Many of these works will be available for sale to the public. This exhibition is a great opportunity to see and buy original and reasonably-priced works from emerging and established talent.

The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors and prospective students of all ages may participate in a free all-age art workshop held in the studios. In addition, the public is invited to meet the teaching artists, discuss course offerings with them, and see their artworks.
