Pelham Youth Coach Picked for Rugby National Team

Chris Chapman joins Toby L'Strange as the second coach from Pelham youth rugby to get called up to the national team.

After playing for the New York Athletic Club's 7s team in the national championships at the beginning of the month, Chris Chapman was selected for the U.S. national 7s team.

That makes two out of three coaches from Pelham youth rugby on the national squad. Toby L’Strange was named to the Eagles 15s team in the spring.

“All we need now is a miracle and a time machine for me to get on the U.S. team,” joked Matt Persanis, director of Pelham Youth Rugby.
