Updated: School Delays, Wintry Mix May Make for Difficult Tuesday Commute

The National Weather Service predicts another winter storm to strike at about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Another winter storm watch is in effect for tonight into Tuesday. This fourth possible winter storm to pass through Westchester this season is expected to strike at about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80 percent chance of snow late Monday night, with precipitation changing to snow and freezing rain before noon on Tuesday. Between noon and 3 p.m., as temperatures rise, meteorologists expect conditions will change to rain. 

In Dobbs Ferry, NWS says new ice accumulations of 0.1 to 0.3 of an inch are possible, and predict new snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

Given the timing of the storm, Hudson Valley residents are encouraged to exercise caution during Tuesday morning's commute.
