Annual Pelham Street Fair Coming Up in June

COME ONE, COME ALL TO THE ANNUAL PELHAM STREET FAIR!

The Pelham Chamber of Commerce says

it will host the annual Village Street Fair on Saturday, June 7th,

and its own members will organize every detail of the event from street vendors

and free entertainment to this year’s classic car show.

“The feedback we received from last

year’s Street Fair was positive,” says Chamber President Sandy Waibel, “but

people also told us they wanted an event with more local flavor, something that

felt like home.  So our members

stepped up to the plate and volunteered to manage the entire event themselves.”

The annual Pelham Street Fair is a

Village tradition that brings neighbors and families out for the day along

Fifth Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to First Street.  In addition to great food and drinks, visitors to this

year’s Fair will enjoy demonstrations, craft tables, and sidewalk sales.  Youngsters will love the carousel and

fun kiddie rides—all free thanks to support from participating vendors.  Other free entertainment for kids will

include tree climbing, a fun-filled Velcro Olympics-style competition, and a

crash course.

Adults will enjoy the Classic Car

Show, presented by Moonlight Cruising, and free musical entertainment will keep

everyone on their feet.  The Gazebo

will feature singers Jackie DiMaggio, Elvis impersonator Patric Perrone, Dennis

Dell, and Motown’s Bobby Walker with help from DJ Bobby James. Dance lovers

will have a chance to demonstrate their skills at “Tango in the Courtyard” from

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm at the Pelham Arts Center.

Health and safety are big concerns

for Chamber members.  So courtesy

of Pelham Medical Group, this year’s Street Fair will feature free sidewalk

blood-pressure screenings plus fire safety tips for kids and families courtesy

of the Village Fire Department.

Village officials will be on hand

throughout the day, including Mayor Timothy Cassidy and Village trustees to

meet and greet people.

table can obtain more information at 914-738-6705.

Proceeds from this year’s Pelham

Street Fair will help support a variety of business and philanthropic programs

sponsored by the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and benefiting the Pelham

community.
